One of the best exhibitions of the decade so far that focuses on style, was the Chanel photography exhibition based on Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Rotifeld book “ The Little Black Jacket: Chanel’s Classic Revisited ” in the autumn of 2012 at the Saatchi Gallery London. A retrospective based on the love of Chanel's legendary black jacket. Chanel’s head designer Karl Lagerfeld photography was curatored and exhibited in Tokyo , New York , Taipei and Hong Kong, before London.
The idea was to capture the way people wore the iconic jacket to reflect their personality. By using well know models, musicians and style setters, Lagerfeld photos produced an exhilarating, heart felt, memorable collection of photography that saw daily queues at the Saatchi Gallery. Here are Bloyst’s favourite photos. Also to see how the exhibition was created go to thelittleblackjacket.chanel.com made in 2013.
